Kobu
A downloadable game
This is a fantasy, roguelike, farming adventure. You play as Kobu, who wakes in mysterious surroundings and is tricked by an evil fairy queen. She traps him in her enchanted forest in which he must farm, fight, and potion his way out of.
There is a crafting bench to make potions and a starter area for familiarization with planting and gathering. The forest holds resources and enemies to farm equipment drops to power up your brave warrior.
AllEyesOnMe(Ryan): Modeling/animation, SFX/Music. This jam gave me the ability to finally make a rouge-like, something I've been dreaming about doing for a couple of years now and the very talented programmer managed to pull it together beautifully.
ScottPonder: Programming/UI. There were a variety of systems I had to integrate, but it was a welcoming challenge. I have since learned much from this project and look forward to future works and development.
Developer notes:
- As of the moment, the forest generation is still in development, but feel free to challenge yourself in obtaining items to craft the fire wand and the Yew Log potion.

I also liked the opening animation — very charming!
It’s impressive how much world you’ve built, though I did feel like moving between areas took a bit too long.
I played until I was harvesting multiple different crops!
I feel like there’s something I’m missing. In one area, there are a lot of portals, but most of them just bring you back to the farming area. I’m guessing you’re supposed to try them all and maybe find a secret or hidden place?
Is there some kind of endgame or special location to discover? (edit: Just read the description. Turns out I missed crafting the fire wand!)
I really respect the effort you put into this!
